Richardson’s interest in the world of Fibre Arts started at the age of 15 with a passion for spinning, dyeing wool, and off-loom weaving, combined with a love of sewing. Later, while volunteering as an earthquake relief worker, she studied the designs and weaving of the Guatemalan people. More recently Jane’s interest in textiles has led her to Istanbul and India.
Richardson’s paintings are only sold as one-of-a-kind original artwork; however she is now having her images reproduced as textiles, many samples of which can be seen below. Jane’s ultimate goal is to create a completely unique line of clothing by hand from her artwork.
